LSNJ is an independent not-for-profit organization, which coordinates the statewide Legal Services system. LSNJ strives to ensure equal access to justice by providing free advice, referral, consultation and representation in civil legal matters to financially eligible low income individuals and families. Our statewide pro bono panels include Divorce/Matrimonial Practice, Domestic Violence, Immigration, Bankruptcy, Consumer and Anti-Predatory Lending, Representation of Not-for-Profit Corporations, and our Statewide Legal Hotline. We provide ongoing support to pro bono attorneys including training, mentorship, and malpractice coverage.

CJLS provides quality civil legal assistance through information, education, referral, advice, advocacy, negotiation and litigation to low income residents of central Jersey (Mercer, Union and Middlesex counties). CJLS provides direct legal services, from advice to litigation, to the low-income population.

ENLS Volunteer Lawyers Project provides an opportunity for attorneys in the community to serve our low-income population and supplement our limited staff resources. Often, volunteer attorneys serve clients who would otherwise be turned away, providing representation in areas outside our expertise. Volunteer attorneys have recently taken cases in the areas of Special Civil Part affirmative litigation, divorce and family law, domestic violence, access to education, parental representation in child welfare proceedings, bankruptcy, wills and probate, social security appeals, guardianship, housing and related issues, consumer fraud and consumer defense.

NNJLS is a non-profit corporation that provides free, civil legal assistance to low-income residents of Bergen, Hudson and Passaic Counties. We provide a broad array of legal services, including representation, advice, advocacy, community education, information and referrals in the areas of housing, family, public benefits, employment, consumer, individual rights, education, predatory lending, health law and community economic development. We also have special programs for providing services to seniors and victims of domestic violence. Members of the private bar provide free legal assistance to NNJLS’ eligible clients in a variety of civil matters, including consumer, bankruptcy, family, housing, elder law, education law, public benefits and more. This assistance ranges from brief advice, to full representation in civil matters, depending on the attorneys’ interests, skills and availability.

OMLS is the frontline civil law firm for low-income people in Ocean and Monmouth Counties. OMLS is committed to promoting access to justice, strengthening communities, combating discrimination and effecting systemic social change through representation, advocacy, and community education. Subject to availability, OMLS utilizes pro bono attorneys in a full range of program activities, including full and limited representation, as co-counsel or support in major and complex litigation, transactional work, community legal education, assistance to pro se parties (including clinics), and other non-legal program work.

SJLS is a non-profit organization created to provide quality legal representation and advocacy to low-income individuals. We seek to empower low-income individuals to access the judicial system so they will achieve the greatest possible measure of substantive, procedural and economic justice. Pro bono attorneys are matched with cases in their area of specialty for direct client representation and advice, training/mentoring of other attorneys or participation in a clinic setting. We also provide training and support to attorneys wishing to volunteer in new areas of law.
